The Czech VZ.24 Mauser is one of the most respected miitary Mauser actions ever made, famous for excellent metallurgy, smooth operation, strength, reliability. It is a controlled-round-feed Mauser 98 design featuring a massive claw extractor, fixed ejector and large gas-handling safety features. Reshaped bolt handle, coin finished bolt body and magazine follower, drilled and tapped for bases, glass-bedded custom built beautiful feathered Claro Walnut stock with a shadow-line cheek-piece, a Rosewood grip cap and Schnabel forend tip with white fineline spacers, Timney trigger, premium 24" semi-sporter barrel, 14" LOP, refined feeding and extraction. Hand -cut checkered skipline checkering, part integral octagon barrel with a double gold band at the receiver, engraved hinged floor plate with inside the bow release, model-70 style 2-position safety, an Old English 1" black recoil pad, front and rear ball sling swivels. Fitted with Conetrol bases and 1" rings. Includes a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x50 scope. This is a stunning custom built Ed Chahin hunting rifle. Excellent condition.
