Custom built 243 by Paul Jaeger of Jenkintown,Pa. Built in the late 1950s or early 1960s,this rifle is a true piece of gunmaking art. Built on a Sako L579 action, this rifle has a 26" Douglas premium barrel,a Timney trigger, a beautiful highly figured stock with 28 line checkering, and 1" Leupold bases and rings. The floorplate, grip cap,and triggerguard are engraved with gold wire and a gold groundhog surrounded by deep cut Germanic scroll. The engraving was done by the Willing family in Germany. Cost to duplicate this rifle today is well over $20,000. The rifle is in mint like new condition retaining 100% of the metal and wood finishes. C&R eligible. Price includes shipping to your FFL.
