Highly Customized CARL GUSTAFS M96 Finnish SA Marked Swedish Mauser bolt Rifle in 308 Winchester

Another “ESTATE” firearm listing brought to you from Dust 2 Dollars who prides themselves on showing the complete gun in high quality pictures along with a detailed description for your consideration. We offer you a “Highly Customized” CARL GUSTAFS M96 Finnish SA Marked Swedish Mauser bolt action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester. The top of the receiver is marked “crown / C / CARL GUSTAFS STADS / GEVARSFAKTORI. / 1917”. The left side of the receiver is marked with a boxed “SA” with the “H.K.” inspection stamp and the serial number “436534”. The right side of the barrel is marked “308 WIN”. The metal parts are marked with a small “Crown”. The bolt and bottom metal are marked “534”. So this build started with an all matching gun. A 20 inch Shilen barrel was chambered and installed. It has an excellent bore with no issues with a gloss finish that is excellent. The receiver and bottom metal were rust blued which are in excellent condition. The barreled action was bedded into the Walnut stock. The stock has a shadow-line cheek piece with scalloped enhancements which make for a very nice appearing stock. There was a Timney trigger installed as shown in the pictures. The bolt has had a great deal of improvements. A safety shroud was replaced with a 3-position safety with the lever being case hardened. There was a cock on opening conversion also completed on the bolt. It was also modified for scope use and has a very nice appearance as you can see. The L.O.P. is 13 3/8 inches over the pad and the complete package weighs in at 8 ¼ pounds. Which includes the Redfield 5-Star 4-12 scope that is also in excellent condition. Over 2K was invested into this build which was completed by a very skilled local Gunsmith. $1,199 This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $55.
