This John Oberlies / P O Ackley Custom Mauser chambered in 250-3000 Savage remains in very good to excellent condition. The Barrel Is marked  P O Ackeley, and The brass Buttplate is marked John Oberlies. John Oberlies was a well respected gunsmith from the Dayton Ohio area, this particular rifel was made for Lou Trapp of Dayton. Oberlies was famous for doing silver inlays on his rifle this rifle has 3 maple leafs, 1 acorn and a arrow hear, the grip cap is solid ivory.( another specialty of Oberlies, was his ivory work).
