This is a custom Mauser 98 rifle with 23" Barrel in the Wildcat .550 Ivory Express caliber. It was made about 40 years ago by renowned Master Gunsmith Robert Snapp who was President of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild in 1992. The design and workmanship are superb. The stock is American black walnut that is by another Guild member Chuck Grace. The caliber is a made from .378 Weatherby brass that is expanded to take the .550 Bullet. Lots of bullets, brass, completed ammo and RCBS loading dies etc. come with the gun. The action is smoothed and polished inside and out. Quarter rib with folding express sights. This is a big rifle that weighs in a 10 Lbs. 5 Oz. It was little fired by the owner and also recently test fired by my gunsmith. A very beautiful African style rifle that cost $8,000 to build years ago. I am Oregon Lumberjack on the other big site with 1000's of positive feedbacks. Offered at $4995 plus the actual cost of shipping the gun ammo and accessories.
