RF Sedgley Custom Springfield Armory 1903 .30-06 Springfield Bolt Action Rifle with Checkered Walnut Stock
Description: Here’s a true American Classic Custom Rifle from R.F. Sedgley, one of the pre-imminent rifle builders of the era. Pre WWII manufacture featuring a very desirable Griffin & Howe side quick detachable scope mount, along with a Lyman Receiver Sight and hooded ramp front bead sight. The stock is Checkered Walnut with Schnabel fore end, grip cap and Decelerator Butt Pad. Has front sling swivel base, but rear base is missing. The stock has two minor issues of note, both nicely repaired and shown in the pictures. There is a hairline crack at the rear of the tang and a repaired split at the front of the fore end on the left side. The blue shows a few areas of minor thinning and edge wear. Chambered in the versatile .30-06 Springfield. This rifle has a few stories to tell, but on all counts a very nice, well cared for rifle in great shape. See the pictures for condition.
