Description:
This is a rare, excellentexample of a Tippmann Arms 1919 1/2 scale. Manufactured in the 1980s by Tippmann Arms of Fort Wayne, Indiana, this is a finely made copy of the Browning Model 1919A4 .30 caliber machine gun, scaled down to match the .22 Long Rifle cartridge and configured for semi-automatic fire only. Overall length of the gun itself is 19 1/2 inches, with a blade front sight and folding adjustable rear sight on the receiver, air-cooled barrel with ventilated head shield, and a checkered pistol grip. The right side of the receiver is marked "MOD. 1919/NO. 0110/TIPPMANN ARMS CO./FT. WAYNE, IN." behind the cocking handle, and a sliding safety is installed on the rear above the pistol grip. It shows light handling wear, and some patina/oxidation on the side of the receiver. Included with the 1919 is a folding steel tripod, traverse & elevation mechanism, two miniature green painted ammunition cans, several non-disintegrating metal belts, and manual. The set is contained in the original hardwood crate with fitted felt lined interior and leather handles.
