Circa 1996 Dakota Arms Model 76. Test fired only at the factory and by Trophy Ammo to prove custom loaded ammo. Round count is 15. Tally bases and QD mounts support a Swarovski 1.25x5 optic as mounted by Dakota. The scope has the German #4 reticle. The rifle has a lovely piece of wood on it with an ebony fore end tip and Dakota rubber butt pad. 24" barrel. The owner intended on this rifle accompanying him to Africa, but he took another rifle instead, so this has not been shot or carried since he took delivery. Included are several test targets fired by factory testers using several different brands and weights. Dakota tested it with Federal factory ammo at 50 yards with iron sights, getting a 3/4" group. The rifle was then fitted with the scope and tested with 2 different loads at Trophy Ammo headquarters in Chico, CA. Barnes 400gr Solids gave a 5/8" group at 50 yards, and then again with 400gr Swift soft points, yielding a .3" group at 50 yards. This Dakota is a true sub-MOA heavy rifle. Included with your purchase is 500 new Norma cases, new Redding dies, 150 rounds of Trophy ammo using the 400gr Swift Soft point, 40 rounds of trophy ammo usng the 400gr Barnes solids.
