#1766, Dakota Safari Grade in 7 x 57 with a 23" Barrel with their Island rear sight with a Standing fixed sight, Front ramp with flip-up night sight, Barrel band swivel, Belly magazine box with a hinged straddle floorplate with a center bow release, 3 panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, 3 position Model 70 type wing safety, Profiled scope bases with 1" rings, 13 3/4" LOP over their skeleton buttplate with wood checkering, 8 lbs. 4 oz. with the scope rings, A very nice piece of English Walnut with excellent color and contrast, Ebony forend tip, Point pattern checkering, Shadowline cheekpiece, Skeleton grip cap with checkering, 2 screw tiedown rear sling eye, 60% coverage of very well cut scroll engraving by J. Davidson on the floorplate & trigger guard with a Gold inlayed Bull Elk, 30% coverage on the receiver and 1" forward on the barrel cylinder at the breech, Mr. Davidson is not an amateur as you can see by the photos, Some of the best high grade firearms engraved at Connecticut Shotgun are cut by Mr. Davidson, He knows right from wrong and is an excellent artist, The factory satin blue remains at 100%, The stock is 99.5%, The bore is brand new and this piece remains unfired.
