Dakota Model 76 Classic .300 H&H Magnum. An early Dakota from the Don Allen era, serial 0737 has a 25-inch barrel, rust blue finish, full-length claw extractor, three-position safety, blended bolt release lever, inside-the-bow release and a AA-grade walnut stock (24 lines-per-inch panel checkering, steel grip cap, rounded sling swivel studs, Pachmayr recoil pad and a satin finish. OPTIC: A Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm scope (matte finish, one-inch tube, .25 MOA clicks, Duplex reticle, threaded alloy lens caps) is secured in Leupold mounts. Lens coatings are unmolested and optics are sharp. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 8.6 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.45 inches. CAPACITY: Four rounds (three plus one). The extractor "snaps over" rounds dropped into the chamber. Feeding, extraction and ejection are smooth and positive. CONDITION: The bore is outstanding. Trigger pull is crisp. Metal finish is approximately 98 percent with but minor hints of handling. Wood is approximately 95 percent with a modest distribution of small rubs and field impressions.
