For sale is a Dakota Model 97 bolt-action rifle, chambered in the versatile and accurate .243 Winchester cartridge. This rifle is in excellent used condition and is configured for left-handed shooters – a rare and highly desirable feature in premium American custom rifles. Serial Number: K0522L.
The Dakota Model 97 is a classic American custom rifle built on the legendary Mauser 98-style controlled-round-feed action. This Lightweight All Weather Outfitter features a 22-inch stainless steel precision match barrel with a matte blue finish, a 3-position Model 70-style safety, and a 13.3-inch length of pull. The well-figured Turkish walnut stock is gorgeous – featuring wraparound point-pattern checkering on the forearm with twin fill patterns on the grip, and a skeletonized steel grip cap with the exposed wood neatly checkered. The satin oil wood finish shows only the lightest of scattered handling marks. The metalwork is all black Cerakote, with a couple of handling marks on the hinged floorplate. The overall length is 42.6 inches. It is fitted with Talley scope rings (no scope included).
