This is a crackerjack of a double rifle. The barrels are engraved “A. Hollis & Son. London.” and “Makers to H.R.H. The Duke of Connaught”. Barrel flats are stamped with nitro proofs for 70 grains cordite and 480 grain bullet MAX load. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with SN and Krupp steel markings. Action and locks are engraved with beautifully. Platinum inlay express rear sight W/ ladder extension. “A. Hollis & Son” is on scrolled rib and on each lockplate. Trigger guard with SN on tang, extends to steel grip cap. Drop at heel: approx 2-5/8″, drop at comb: approx 1-3/8″. Weight: 11 lbs 12 oz. LOP: 14-5/8”. Barrels retain most of their original rust blue. Stock has a nearly impossible to see crack through the wrist that has been restored. Bores are shiney. Action is tight. This rifle has been hunted but has LOTS of hunting left in it. It will ship with 18rd of brass. From the Richard Schreiber Collection.
