*Sale Pending* William Douglas & Sons Boxlock Express Double Rifle, circa 1998, .500 NE, 11 lbs. 5 oz., 23 1/2" fluid steel barrels 1998 London Proof of 3250 BAR, smooth flat rib 1/4 raised with one standing and two folding rear leaves and ramp front sight, Rib engraved "William Douglas & Sons Staffordshire England", barrel engraved "500 NE, 570 Grain Bullet", 3rd bite rib extension, ejectors, A&D boxlock action with light scroll engraved and case colored, bottom of action engraved "William Douglas & Sons England", double triggers, disc set strikers, nicely figured European walnut with 14 3/4" LOP over a Silvers pad, semi-beavertail forend with rotating lever latch, inletted rear swivel, bottom barrel mounted front swivel. Excellent condition showing some light finish wear from hunting but all in all, a nice clean rifle hunted only a couple of times. These were imported by Cape Outfitters until 2004.
