Description:
Certainly one of the highest grade and most elaborate O/U double rifles ever built. It has two sets of barrels, one in .375/375 H&H Magnum and the other in 7mm/7mm Magnum. The sidelock action is deep chiseled engraved with a Lion on the left side, Cape Buffalo on the right and an Elephant on the bottom. The grip cape has a Leopard with her cub engraved on it. Each animal has the wildlife area engraved around it. All other metal areas on the receiver have delicate scroll engraving. The forearm release is also masterfully engraved and inset into the wood. Even the back side of the forearm metal has an engine turned finish. All visible screw heads are also engraved. The ejectors, triggers, cocking indicators, lock works and pins are all gold plated. Each set of barrels has its own Zeiss scope set in quick release claw mounts. The .375 barrels has a 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 power Zeiss Diavari-C scope and the 7mm Magnum set of barrels has a 3 to 9 Diavari-C scope. Each set of barrels is equipped with iron sights to be used once the scope is removed. The wood is AAA fancy walnut with fish scale checkering and oak leaf & acorn carving. The wood to metal fit is superb and the detail of wood, finish & metalwork must be studied in the photos to be appreciated. While the rifle was built years ago it remains in new and unfired condition just like it was when it came from the maker. This is the epitome of high end work by one of Europes best makers.
