Thomas Bland & Sons Cased Rifle in 500 3 inch BPE
Description: This fine London England Double Rifle is in 500 3 inch BPE caliber. It comes with what may be the original leather case. It has 28 inch barrels with bright shiny Henry Rifling. It is an unusual gun as it has never been engraved. Very unusual for London high quality guns. It has very nice wood. The case contains a three piece wood cleaning rod and a period sling. The gun also comes with 34 brass cases, a Lyman bullet mold, a bag of .510 wads, a wad cutter and a set of Hornady Custom three piece loading dies With shell holder. There is also a factory letter stating that the gun was made in 1880. My scales weigh the gun at 9 pounds 2 ounces. The barrels have been reblacked some time in the past. It has a Jones underlever action and is tight as a drum. A fine gun for the range or field. This was considered a medium bore in its day.
