FREDERICK BEESLEY FROM PURDEYS .303 BEST BOXLOCK DOUBLE RIFLE, WITH 26" BARRELS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
Description: PRICE REDUCED NOW $15,995 WAS $16,995
CONSIGNED
This Frederick Beesley from Purdeys double rifle chambered in .303 British remains in Excellent Condition. The barrels are 26″ with excellent bores. The action features acanthus scroll engraving along with the maker’s name. Bushed and removable firing pins. Hints of case colors are still present. The bolstered fore-end has a lever release. The pistol grip stock measures 14 1/2″ over a horn butt plate. The weight is 9 lbs 11 oz. It is a extractor only rifle. It appears to have seen very little use, and locks up tights as a bank vault. There is some slight edge wear on the bluing and some small handling marks present on the wood, but for a 120plus year old rifle it reains in remarkable condition. A previous advertisment (I am assuming my now deceased friend purchased it when previously advertised, i am marketing this rifle for his sons) that I found stated it shot well with 215 grain round nose bullets, and also did very well 150 grain federal loads as well.
Please see pictures.
