Harris Holland was the founder of the Holland name in British gun making. It eventually became the well known marque "H&H" when Harris brought his nephew into the firm in 1876. This example was probably a unique out of the ordinary order based on its weight of 8 lbs. 4 oz. which is rather light for this cartridge. Please note the unique "dolls head" top rib extension shown in photos. Overall excellent condition. The barrels are 28 in. of beautiful Damascus with near perfect bores. LOP is 14 1/2 in. to a steel butt plate. Nicely grained butt stock with classic Holland cheek piece and forend wood with sharp checkering. It has back action locks with about 80% crisp fine scroll engraving. Please note the load designation engraved on the left side under the action flat. No rust or pits anywhere. Tight and on face. More pix for prospective buyers. Shipping and insurance included to contiguous 48.
