25" BARREL, QUARTER RIB, STANDING REAR SIGHT - 150 YDS, DOUBLE TRIGGERS,  CASE COLOR HARDENED FINISHED, PISTOL GRIP, HARD RUBBER GRIP CAP , 14-1/2" LOP, LEATHER COVERED RECOIL PAD, 10 LBS - 11 OZ,

An English made boxlock double rifle chambered for the .500/465 Nitro Express cartridge. It has a 25” blacked steel chopper-lump rifled barrels fit with ejectors, Westley Richards pattern smooth quarter rib, platinum lined standing rear sight being regulated for 150 yards. Hooded ramped blade front sight. Top of the rib is roll marked "'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO LONDON". Barrels flats stamped with Birmingham proofs. The case color hardened boxlock action with blacked bottom cover plate is engraved with gold-inlaid "WESTLEY RICHARDS" on both sides of the action body. The action is fitted with disc set strikers, concealed third fastener, non-automatic safety with "SAFE" engraved ahead of the scored slide safe, case color hardened, and smooth blade double triggers protected by a blacked trigger guard that extends to a full-length bottom strap with the serial number. Reddish-brown walnut stock with checkered pistol grip, grip with hard rubber grip cap, drop points, loop for sling and an engraved stock oval - "SWB" in shaded block. Splinter fore-end with Anson style button release, 14-1/2” LOP over a 3/4" leather covered recoil pad, 10 Lbs. - 11 Oz.
