Description: William Evans [From Purdey's] 63 Pall Mall, St. James, London boxlock ejector double rifle chambered for the .400/.360 Purdey Nitro Express 2 3/4" cartridge and London proved for Cordite 40 and 300 grain bullet. Buttstock with strong fiddleback figure. 14 5/8" LOP to a checkered steel buttplate with widow's peak. Neutral cast. Lever release forend. Sling eyes fore and aft. 9lb 2oz This piece has every appearance of never having had any restoration. It is tight and on face with very good to excellent bores. It has been used but not abused.
