Description:
This Krieghoff Sidelock over/under double rifle is chambered in 9.3x74R. Built with blued Krupp Special Laufstahl barrels featuring a beaded blade front sight on a ramped island base, a flip-up rear sight on the rear quarter rib along with an ERA swing mount holding a Zeiss Conquest V6 1.1-6x24 mm scope, 1969 dated German proof marks, oak leaf engraving at the breech, import mark on lower barrel, front sling swivel, and automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished sidelock action with hidden hand detach levers and Kersten bolting which displays oak leaf engraving surrounding "KRIEGHOFF-ULM" in a banner on the underside as well as two game scenes depicting a roaring red stag on the left with a pair of hinds in a forested scene and a trio of wild boars running through a forest on the right. The rifle has a single trigger, cocking indicators, a horn trigger guard, and a tang mounted manual safety. The rifle is fitted with a richly figured and skip-line multi-point checkered forend with engraved coin finished iron and release as well as a pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, Bavarian cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and an Uncle Mike's recoil pad. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs. 2 oz. with scope. Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes, light handling evidence concentrated on the wood, some high edge wear, minor spotting, and crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The scope optics are sharp. 9.3x74R
