A. Hollis double rifle in 500-450 Nitro Express. 28 inch barrels marked special gun barrel steel. Fried. Krupp. Essen. Jones underlever hammer gun. Flip up ivory front sight. Buffalo horn butt plate. Right barrel stamped A. Hollis & Son. London. Left barrel marked Makers To H.R.H. The Duke of Connaught. He was Queen Victoria's third and favorite son. Beautiful English engraving, all original in fine condition. Brass and bullets included, dies available. Appraised value is $12,000 to $13,000. Purchased from the Leroy Merz collection.
