For sale: A Heym 9.3x74R Model 55 Boxlock with a Suhler claw-mounted Zeiss Diavari optic. Over/under configuration. Barrels in superb condition; rifling sharp and clear. 25 inch barrels forged with nitro-proofed Krupp-Special Laufstahl. Kersten / Greener locking system. Cocking indicators and ejectors. Double triggers. Limited scroll engraving of a rothirsch (red deer) and a keiler (wild boar) and coin finish, very likely hand-engraved. Coin finish has a light patina. Claw mounts installed. 10 lbs without the optic, 12 1/4 lbs with the optic. LOP is 14 1/2 inches (rear trigger) and 15 1/2 inches (front trigger). Optic is a top-quality West German manufacture Zeiss Diavari 1.5 - 6x42 T*. Optic crystal-clear and very bright. 'Fredrich Wilh. Heym' present on top rib. Tiny 'EP Arlington VA' import stamp present. Some wear & light handling marks on the rifle and optic (see photos). After-market spacer (1/2 inch) installed. Right-hand cast. Per the Heym factory, the rifle was a 1983 West German manufacture. Previous owner stated the rifle was owned and hunted by his father, then in a gun cabinet for the previous twenty years. Condition of the weapon is consistent with his statement.
