A peerless classic in high condition, serial 35656 has 25-inch barrels (.715-inch muzzle diameters, brass-beaded blade front sight with rocking moon, sling loop, quarter rib with fixed and folding express leafs marked 50/100 for 570-grain, ejectors, polished blue, proofed 1994). Features include hand-detachable locks (serialed, gold line cocking indicators), mechanical safety, extended tangs, articulated front trigger (checkered face), rolled guard and color case finish. STOCK: Coaxed from a stout Turkish blank set with dancing figure and crossing accents, detailings include a beavertail forearm wrapped with fine checkering supported by a partially Mullered border, drop points, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, trap door grip cap (secrets a serialed sight blade and screw), toe line sling loop, initial plate, recoil pad (hard top, thin) and an oil finish. ENGRAVING: The action, tangs, cap and release serve as canvas for Holland's storied scroll as flawlessly executed by Malcolm Long (signed under the guard). “SAFE” and serial are each highlighted in gold. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 11.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.65 inches. CONDITION: Bores are outstanding, barrels full on face and the opening lever rests well right. Ejectors punch with authority and trigger pulls are crisp. Metal finish (blue) is approximately 95 percent with light plum over the guard. Colors are approximately 90 percent. Wood is at least 95 percent. AMMUNITION: Eighty rounds of Hornady 570-grain ammo (40 rounds DGS solids and 40 rounds DGX Bonded softs) is included. CASE: A leather and oak case with canvas cover, maker's label, cleaning stuffs and snaps is present and remains in excellent condition. No papers.
