1940s SAVAGE/STEVENS Model .22-410 Over/Under Combination RIFLE/SHOTGUN C&R Boy’s / Youth SQUIRREL & RABBIT Combination Gun
Description: 1940s SAVAGE/STEVENS Model .22-410 Over/Under Combination RIFLE/SHOTGUN C&R Boy’s / Youth SQUIRREL & RABBIT Combination Gun Here Ancestry Guns presents a C&R Stevens Arms Company Model .22-410 Combination Rifle/Shotgun, made circa 1939 to 1950 in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. The Stevens .22-410 was made under the Stevens name in the period between 1938 and 1950. This rifle/shotgun combination became the Savage Model 24 in 1950 and was under the Savage name until 1965. This rifle is chambered in .22 Rimfire along with the 410 shotgun barrel superposed below the .22 rifle, all wrapped up in one package and represents one of Stevens’ most practical small caliber firearms. I had one of these growing up and was my favorite to take into the woods to hunt squirrels. For those fox squirrels sitting in the top of that big oak tree, the .22 was just the answer. But, when those gray squirrels took off running, like they always do, the 410 was ready to respond. This gun would have been purchased by and for boys and youth in the early to mid-20th Century. The overall condition is fine. Original finish. The action is strong. Both bores are bright and remain rifled/smooth, respectively. Solid stock throughout with average wear with light scratches and scuffs. Markings are sharp. Own the original! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrels are 24 inches. Caliber: .22 Rimfire and 410 Shotgun Shotgun Chamber: 3 inches. Choke: Full LOP: 13-3/4 inches. Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. $1250 #259956 SOLD Antique: Yes |
