I have hunted with both 16g shotgun for birds most of my life and also deer hunted with the 6.5x57 with outstanding results and relatively low recoil. This round is similar to our .257 Roberts.

To top every thing off to the right side rib is a .22 Long rifle and on top the original claw mounted German scope with perfect clarity.
Did you note the engraving? Outstanding. I love those pheasants!
The gun was proofed in Nazi Germany in March of 1942. This type of drilling is very rare and is called a "Bock" drilling.
