"SN: 16502 made pre 1939 in Germany. Traditional Drilling with 26 ¾" barrels, 16 gauge side by side with 2 ½" chambers over a single rifle barrel chambered in 8x57R with a matted rib, silver bead front sight with a flip up rear sight actuated by the top tang safety and a soldered on sling swivel. Scalloped box lock with double triggers and a Greener style safety. Action is fully engraved with game scenes and scroll and the bottom reads “ORIGINAL KERNER ANSON & DEELY DRILLING". Stock has a 14 ¼" LOP to a lined horn butt plate with a trap door inlet for extra cartridges that also holds a rear sling swivel as well as a sunburst pistol grip cap with an engraved screw. Bores are very good with some light frosting in the rifle barrel but strong rifling, metal finish is very good with light wear and handling marks. Wood condition is fair with heavier handling marks on the stock, the head chipped out at the scallops on the left side, a crack near the toe as well as a small chip and the butt plate is missing the bottom screw. The forearm wood and metal have been replaced with a snap-on forearm.
