Austrian (Innsbrook) R. Marholdt sidelock hammer combination gun. 16 gauge over 8 x 72R. Beautiful, little used gun dated 1928. Outstanding hand cut engraving, nice wood. 26 ¾” barrels appear unmodified and original. Top shot barrel is very bright and shiny, choked .030. LOP is 13 7/8”, DAC is 1 ¾”, DAH 3”. The rifle barrel has strong rifling with no rust or pitting. The receiver is essentially 100% engraved, screw heads are all perfect. There is also a lift up, partially hidden sight on the tang in addition to the 2 leaf rear sight. The forend has a practically invisible crack on the right side that is tight and sound, having apparently been properly repaired at some point in the past. The gun is Nitro Proofed. The gun comes with a total of 21 8 x 72R cases, ten new and unfired plus 11 die formed and once fired cases. Five of the new and unfired cases are Berdan primed and ready to load. The remainder of the cases are Boxer primed, with five unfired, and 11 fireformed. This many cases should last for many firings in this low pressure cartridge. Additional pictures avaialble upon request.
