Description: c1927 GERMAN DRILLING by DULA C&R 16G & 9.3x72R Horn Single Set Trigger Double Barrel 16 Gauge with Rifle Barrel Underneath Here we present a C&R German Drilling by F. Dula in Germany in 1927. This has a three barrel arrangement with two 16 gauge shotgun bores on top and a 9.3x72R rifle barrel centered underneath. This one has two triggers that fire both shotgun barrels; the front trigger is also a single set trigger for the rifle bore. These guns are typically German but can also come from Austria and Belgium among other places, and they were made for hunting a variety of game. If one is hunting fowl he has two shots with a shotgun, but if he sees a stag, he can take the longer shot with a cartridge that can take it down. This one has some nice engraving on the frame. The rear sight flips up with switch on the top tang. There is a safety switch on the left of the frame. The trigger guard and the butt plate are both made of horn. The overall condition is very good. Original blue finish. The actions are excellent. The bores are in fine shape: shiny bright and smooth shotgun bores with a well-rifled and shiny rifle bore. The stock is generally in good condition with use apparent and some short, stable splits behind the frame on either side. Numbers match. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
