Description:
Cape guns by English makers are rare and have usually seen hard use in the colonies. This one is all the more rare as it's an ejector gun in high condition as professionally restored, 25" barrels with mint bores and three folding leaves, and the rifle caliber is 375NE (270 grain load 2 1/2" case), just the ticket for bears and lions and such. Shotgun is also useful 16ga 2 3/4" choked mod. Stocked in a decent piece of English of course, LOP 14 5/8", drops 1 3/8" and 2", good amount of cast off, no cracks or chips. Comes in a (modern) fitted case with period C&H oil bottle, new Parker Hale three piece brass rod w cleaning accessories for both bores, repro C&H label, two boxes of correct fresh Kynoch ammo, and two letters of provenance from C&H. 8lb 1oz.
