Collath over under combination 8x72R x 16 gauge

Description:
A rare Collath combination rifle in 8x72R x 16 gauge 2 1/2" chamber full choke. Rifle is in very good condition with barrels retaining 95% of their original rust blue finish and have excellent bores.  Action has turned a uniform grey color with Collath signature basket weave engraving. Wood retains original finish with a couple light scratches from use. An old rubber butt pad has replaced the original horn butt plate that could easily be restored buy a confident gunsmith. Black water Buffalo horn trigger guard and under lever is in excellent shape with no cracks. For anyone collecting this iconic makers rifles this is a very nice representation of their over under combination gun which is hard to come by in this condition. 8x72R brass , dies and components as well as 2 1/2" 16 gauge shells can be purchased to make this a usable hunting rifle.
