J. Ansorg Wurzburg 11.9mm x 48mmR x 16 gauge combination rifle

Description:
A fine black powder era cartridge combination rifle in the Lefaucheux system. Under lever and trigger guard extension are of black water Buffalo horn and are in perfect condition with no cracks. Barrel has original finish that has turned dark brown with gold inlays at the breech. Bores are good with strong rifleing.  Action, locks and trigger guard has a grey French finish with beautiful game scenes in excellent condition. Stock has excellent checkering with a couple of light dings near the butt plate. Pop up peep sight inlayed in the top strap. caliber is 11.9x 48mm rimmed which is loaded with black powder and using a  325 grain .475 " 475 Linebaugh bullet from Beartooth bullets. I have used nitro powders in black powder preasure loads that I can share.  Shotgun barrel is 16 gauge 2 1/2" chambers full choke with straight fine rifleing used back then to reduce powder fouling . Loading dies and some formed and loaded brass go with the rifle. There is no apparent problems with this original rifles condition as the pictures show. If you have any queastions call me.
