For sale is this J.P. Sauer & Sohn Box-Lock Drilling. The rifle caliber is 7 X 57 R and the shotguns are 16 GA X 16 GA. The barrel length is 23.5". Shotgun chokes are Full Left and Modified Right. This gun features a blade front sight with selector operated folding leaf rear sight, box-lock action, and front and rear quick detachable German Recknagel/ ERA bases and 1” scope mounts (These mounts seem to have different heights, but I believe they can be fitted properly or adjusted to the bases by a competent gunsmith. The screw heads on the rings are also a bit stripped.). The action features cocking indicators and Greener side safety. Scroll engraving featured throughout the action. Double triggers, and the front trigger is an adjustable set trigger. It’s an Extractor gun. Pistol grip walnut stock. Stock features right handed cheekpiece, horn grip cap, rubber and leather butt-pad with horn spacer, and sling swivel. Proof marks and import marks on barrel. The LOP is 13 3/4” to the rear trigger and 14 3/4” to the front trigger. All serial numbers are correct and matching. The condition of this drilling is good to very good overall with some very minor cosmetic blemishes. The bluing retains 97%+ of the re-finish overall. The action retains very minimal case coloring.
