Merkel combination 2 barrel set 201E

Description:
This is a fine German combination 2 barrel  set by the outstanding Merkel gunmakers.  It has a combination barrel with 7X57R rifle and 16 gauge shotgun 25 3/8" . Choked full. .030.  The 2nd set of barrels is an over under 16 gauge shotgun choked modified and full 28" long.  Both barrels have ejectors.  
this is a best quality " Q1" set.  All bores are excellent. 
Made in July 1961, the gun locks up very tight. Still retains 98% original blue on the barrels.  The receiver is a combination of brown patina and traces of color case. See pics.
Cocking indicators, adjustable set trigger on the rifle barrel, weighs 7# 3oz on my postal scale.
Has a claw mounted Hensoldt (Zeiss) 6x42 scope with clear optics and post. Type reticle. 
Wood shows normal handling marks with a few small dings around the cheekpiece.  Length of pull is 14 1/4" over the original pad. Slight cast off for right hand shooter.  Looks to have been a slip on pad on it at one time.  Screws all look perfect and are correctly aligned with the bore.  Doesn't look to have ever been apart after leaving the factory. 
I have a set exactly like this, that would be the last gun I'd ever sell.  My favorite ever by far.  45 yrs a gunsmith, I have some excellent guns.  I use mine for everything from deer, hogs, sporting clays, trap, dove and turkey, great for predators, when they run in and you have the 16 barrel loaded with #1 buck.  
mine shoots under an inch all day.
