** SOLD ** Savage Model 24V Combination Gun in .357 Magnum and 20 Gauge **Very Unique - Awesome Off Grid Firearm**
Description: Here for consideration is a unique Savage Model 24V combination gun in .357 Magnum and 20 Gauge. The Stevens and early Savages models have one trigger and an exposed hammer, with a barrel selector on the right side of the receiver (up for the rifle barrel and down for the shotgun barrel) and no manual safety. Later models had the selector on the top of the exposed hammer (forward/down for shotgun barrel and back/up for the rifle barrel) with a cross-bolt hammer-block safety through the receiver. The 24V was made in several different configurations and this one happens to be in .357 Magnum and 20 gauge. It is in outstanding overall condition both mechanically and physically. Both the wood and metal components are in excellent condition exhibiting only very light handling and use marks. The stock has what appears to be the beginning of a couple of hairline cracks that would not affect usability. The 20 gauge shotgun barrel accepts shells up to 3" in length. Of course the .357 barrel would accept .38 Special rounds as well. It has iron sights and is drilled and tapped for mounting of an optic if desired. Both bores are very good. Being of 2 different versatile calibers this fine combo gun would be an excellent off grid foraging firearm.
