DWM BRAZILIAN Contract Model 1908 7mm Cal. C&R Bolt Action MILITARY Rifle
DEUTSCHE WAFFEN and MUNITIONS FABRIKEN of GERMANY
Description: DWM BRAZILIAN Contract Model 1908 7mm Cal. C&R Bolt Action MILITARY Rifle DEUTSCHE WAFFEN and MUNITIONS FABRIKEN of GERMANY Here we present a C&R DWM Brazilian Contract Model 1908 Military Rifle, made circa 1910 in Berlin, Germany. The Mauser Modelo 1908 long rifle became the standard infantry rifle for the Brazilian Army in 1908. These rifles were produced by DWM. DWM then in turn contracted some of these rifles out to Mauser Oberndorf. The only difference between the two rifles would be the maker’s address. If marked Berlin, it was made by DWM, and if marked Oberndorf, it was made by Mauser. The contract ran from 1908 until the outbreak of World War I in 1914. These rifles are essentially the same as the German Gewehr 98. The Gewehr 98 is a German bolt action rifle that fires cartridges from a 5-round internal clip-loaded magazine originally loaded with the 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge. This rifle was manufactured from 1898 through 1918. It was the German service rifle from 1898 to 1935. The Gewehr 98 replaced the earlier Gewehr 1888 as the main German service rifle. The overall condition is good. Excellent action. Bright bore. Fine stock with little handling/storage wear. This example is nicely refinished. Clear markings. Modern leather sling is in good shape. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 19-1/2 inches. Caliber: 7x57mm Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1400 #217913 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
