"Pre-WWI Enfield Short Lee-Enfield Mk.I* Bolt Action Rifle .303 British (L2026-06530)

"Serial no. 31837. Manufactured in 1907 by Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield, chambered in .303 British,25"" round barrel. The bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching, though the magazine is unmarked. The rifle has been refinished at some point and later upgraded with SMLE pattern modifications during its service life. Early Short Lee-Enfield rifles such as this saw service during the transitional years leading into WWI and were prized for their smooth action and rapid rate of fire. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
