Purchased in Kabul in the early 1970’s by and American Diplomat with the original sales receipt and the Kabul American Consulate export declaration. Well used but original Yeomanry pattern carbine with B.S.A. conversion breech and Lock stamped “I. HOLLIS” for Isaac Hollis well known British maker. Breech block and barrel with British proofs. With wear, minor pitting and rust. Will clean up nicely with a little effort. Old tape at wrist but over an old very minor hairline. Working order and good rifling. Old sling with swivels added. Brass butt plate with Indian Army Hindi inscription on trap door and original cleaning rod within. Old Afghan sling and swivels. Colorful relic of the British Raj and the Second Afghan War.
