British Enfield No. 5 Mk. 1 Jungle Carbine by Fazakerly
Description: Serial #W827. .303 British, 20 1/2" barrel with a very good bore that has minor freckling within the grooves. This is a "5 / 46" dated carbine that retains 60-70% of the arsenal-applied Suncorite finish that has flaked to the underlying blue finish on the balance. Thin silvering and mild freckling is present on the high edges and projections, with further finish loss on the bearing surfaces of the matching numbered bolt. The buttstock, forend, and handguard have minor handling marks scattered throughout the added varnish finish, and the hard rubber recoil pad has moderate surface wear, but still has a noticeable amount of cushion remaining. The carbine comes with a single matching numbered magazine, and has a khaki canvas sling installed. This is a very nice Jungle Carbine, in very good-near fine condition, and would make a great addition to a collection. FFL or C&R; SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
