SN DB 23965 is a No 4 M1 Lee Enfield built by Fazakerley ROF in May of 1943. This piece shows a matching bolt and barrel with a bright excellent bore. This piece shows a 0 bolt head. This rifle is mounted with a #67 rear sight graduated to 800 yards. The metal shows excellent blue. The wood remains in excellent condition with no crack. Breaks or repairs the forstock shows another number. The matching barrel shows a 1954 date suggesting that this rifle was arsenal refurbished following the Korean war. This rifle was probably reissued in India based on the butt tock marking and the No 67 jungle carbine mounted rear sight fitted with a WW2 era British issue sling. An excellent example of an English No 4 MK 1 rifle. FFL or C&R
