This is a Savage marked No4 Mk1 Dated 1942. The condition is super. It seems to be retaining about 95+% of the original Parkerizing. The bulk of the loss appears just sharp edge silvering. The wrist is stamped with the U.S. Flaming Bomb Ordinance Mark. The bolt assembly and receiver match. The stock does not match but is also Savage marked. The stock has been re-lacquered over a few light dings. There are no cracks or slivers missing. The pistol grip is stamped "S 51". The scope is marked Tel Sighting /no. 32Mk. II/oOS1650 A/1944 No. 17394. The scope is crystal clear with the wartime post and cross hairs. Both the scope and the mount are very high quality reproductions. The bore is super bright and razor sharp rifling with only the slightest bit of graying. This should be a real X ring basher on the range and priced so that even the most modest budget can enjoy it.
