Fazakerley Lee Enfield No4mk2 - Uganda Contract Serial - Low Use / Wear - British 303

The Lee Enfield No4mk2 was deemed the finest shooting production rifle of the whole genre. The cold war production at the Fazakerley factory (just outside of Liverpool, England) was credited with some the finest workmaship and finish. This example was made in September 1953.
So here we have a low use / wear example of the best shooting rifle in the best factory finish! Serial numbers match in four places (Receiver, Bolt, Magazine and Fore-end Wood - the serial corresponds to the 160,000 rifle block created for the Uganda use in the Commonwealth.
All finishes are original and in excellent condition - suncorite black paint on all metal, a matching set of Beech wood with a light sooting / bown stain for service use. All screws are in ther correct orientation and look to have not been disturbed. The wood shows some dents and bruising from storage and handling. Bolt head fitted is a #2 and is from the factory - minimal bolt head overturn observed. Bore is bright, with distict sharp lands and grooves - no discoloration.
