Model N0.4 MK1* Rifle, .303 Caliber, 25.2" Barrel, 10.5 lbs.
Description:
The Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I* (often abbreviated as No. 4 Mk 1*) is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .303 British that served as a primary infantry weapon for British and Commonwealth forces during World War II. The "star" (*) designation distinguishes this North American variant, produced primarily by Savage Arms in the United States and Long Branch in Canada. The No. 4 utilized a heavier, free-floating barrel compared to its predecessors, which significantly improved harmonic consistency and accuracy. The barrel protrudes about 3 inches from the wooden stock and features integral lugs for the No. 4 "Pig Sticker" spike bayonet, a cheaper alternative to traditional blade bayonets. .303 Savage
