RFI ~ No. 1 MK III* ~ .303 British (1964)

Description:
This 1964 Post World War II bolt action rifle is an R.F.I. (Rifle Factory Ishapore) No. 1 MK III* apparently chambered in .303 British. It has a protected blade fixed front sight, a rear ladder sight, a brass butt plate, and sling loops top and bottom. This rifle was manufactured in India post WWII in 1964 by the Ishapore arsenal in India and is based on the British Enfield No1 Mk III. India manufactured their own Enfield's in some form from 1900 to 1974 for the Indian Army. It has matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt handle, rear sight and nose cap. It has the standard black/blue finish on the metal parts. It has the standard matching ten round magazine. The metal finish is in generally good condition, with no observable rust apparent. Likewise, the wood is in generally good condition, with numerous light handling marks overall. .303 British
