We offer you a “Sporterized” Australian Lithgow Arsenal Manufactured 1919 SMLE No.1 MKIII Short Rifle in .303 British Caliber.

 These were known as the “Short Magazine Lee Enfield Mark III*” which was later designated as the No.1 MkIII. A common misconception was that the “short” in its name referred to the size of the magazine. However in actually it refers to the overall length of the rifle, which measures right around 44.5 inches long. The rifle is import marked “TG KNOX TN 303 BRITISH” which was a company that imported a large number of Enfield’s.
 The rifle was completely refinished and wears synthetic stocks and a scope mount with rings. It has matching numbers on the barrel, receiver and bolt. The 10 round magazine is not matching. The bore on the rifle is excellent with no issues. The rifle overall is in excellent condition and has been stored for a few decades. There is one small mark in the barrel finish and a few surface scuffs in the stocks. It functions just fine and will make someone a very fine hunting rifle that will last another 100 years.
