WW2 Canadian No. 4 Mk. I* Rifle by Lee Enfield
Description: Serial #53L9320, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This Canadian-made, 1943 dated rifle has retained about 75-80% of the original blue finish that has faded to pewter gray on some areas, as well as silvered along the high edges and projections. The bolt was arsenal renumbered to match, and has a mostly gray body with some traces of the original blue remaining. There is no import mark, but the country of origin stamp was added to the left side of the wrist socket: “CANADA". The handguards, forend, and buttstock have numerous small handling marks and surface blemishes throughout the arsenal reapplied oil finish, while the brass buttplate has a dull, yellow-ochre tarnish. A correct magazine, numbered to a different rifle, is included, and a milled micrometer rear sight is installed. Additionally, a dull gray canvassling is fitted. This is a nice example of a war-dated Canadian No. 4 rifle, in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: Enfield Model: No.4 Caliber Info: .303 Gauge Info: .303 |
