WW2 Dated Lithgow SMLE Mk. III* Rifle Lee Enfield JJCo Build
Description: Serial #C81113, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1941 dated, JJCo Imported/built rifle that retains 98-99% of an overall parkerized finish with some mild silvering on the high and exposed edges, as well as along the bearing surfaces of the matching-numbered bolt. The nosecap and forend are also matching-numbered, and there are no import marks visible. The stock, forend, and handguards are in excellent condition with almost no handling marks or blemishes, and the right side of the buttstock has numerous Australian markings: "MA / LITHGOW / SMLE / III* HV (high velocity) / 1942." The brass buttplate has an overall yellow-ochre patina with numerous small impact marks and blemishes throughout. A single unnumbered magazine is included. This is an excellent example of a JJco rifle that they did a great job hiding the import mark. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: Enfield Model: No.1 Caliber Info: .303 Gauge Info: .303 |
