WW2 U.S. Property No. 4 Mk. 1* Rifle by Savage-Stevens Complete & Matching
Description: Serial #95C5680, .303 British, 25" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has traces of mild freckling within the grooves near the muzzle. This is a "US PROPERTY" marked rifle that has matching numbers on the bolt, and post-war London proof and "ENGLAND" stamp on the receiver. Mostly all the parts we can view are marked with the 'S". The metal retains 90-92% of the original phosphate finish, with bright metal visible at the muzzle, on the high and exposed edges, as well as on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. The buttstock, forend, and handguards are in very good plus condition with minor handling marks scattered about the armory-added varnish. The rifle has an unmarked magazine, and is outfitted with a period olive drab canvas sling. This is a handsome Savage No. 4, and is in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R; SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
