Herbert Scheiring (Ferlach) 7mm Remington Magnum Single-Shot Hunting Rifle

Gentlemen,
For my first ever listing on Guns Intrnational, I am offering this most equistite hunting rifle for sale!

Herbert Schiering is arguably the most famous among the small guild of master gunmakers based in Ferlach, Austeria. Schering rifles, crafted by hand, combine exceptional craftsmanship and technical perfection. The present rifle is one of the cown jweles in my fine rifle collection. It has a 65.5 cm barrel which includes a stepped engine-turned rib and gold-inlaid dealer's address "Waffen Bischofer - Rankweil". The action is Shiering system with a tilting-block and underlever barrel opening. Sides of the rifle action are masterfully engraved with scroll surrounded scenes of red deer on the left and chamois on the right. The rifle features double set triggers and sliding tang safty. The beautiful walnut stock includes hand-made fish-scale chequering, slight hog's back comb, and a Bavarian-style cheekpiece. The rifle is fitted with German claw mounts and a Zeiss Diatal-Z 6x42 scope (reticle #4). Year of manufacture 1976 based on the Ferlach proof-marks on the rifle action.

This rifle has been privately purchased in Austeria by myself and has been privately imported into the USA. It shoots exceptionally well (sub-MOA) with several hand loads including Nosler 145 grain LRX bullets. I will be happy to share my hand-loading and shooting notes with the lucky purchaser of this masterpiece of gunmaking. I have only shot this rifle a few times at the shooting range, never taken it hunting. It is being kept in a fine Italian leather case. The case is not included in the price
