Description: 24" tapered octagon-to-round barrel with full integral matted rib with maker's name inlaid in gold, raising to a ramp at the muzzle for a beaded-blade front sight and fitted with a dovetailed single standing sight at rear. Extraordinarily figured burl walnut stocks with schnabel forend tip, without checkering that would obscure the wood's figure, horn-capped recurved pistol grip with "Shelhamer" chinstrap, triple-fluted Bavarian cheekpiece, rear swivel mount and thin black rubber recoil pad. Heeren cocking/de-cocking falling block action with manual side safety and gold washed internals. Extensively engraved with gold-highlighted acanthus scroll on French gray action and six inches onto the blued barrel by Haas, and with deep-chisel carved steel and sculptured raised gold scenes of an archeress and stag on right, another fighting off a leopard with a knife on left, and four running gold antelope on the barrel. Swarovski 2.5-10x42 Habicht 30mm-tube, rail-mount scope with 4A duplex reticle on Blaser quick-detachable mount fitted directly to the barrel without separate bases. Throughbolt stock mounting shows no upper or lower tang screws. Pull: 14 1/2". Weights: 8lbs, 2oz with scope; 6lbs, 11 3/4oz without. Built Feb 1999 by the son: Walter Outschar. 99%blue.
