SOLD - #83024, Heym Sidelock 470 Nitro Express Model 88B Deluxe Pinless Back Action Sidelock with Extensive Game Scene Engraving, Made in 2008, Like buying it new, Upgraded wood, Their Anson Type Action with a Greener crossbolt, Intercepting Safety sears, 24" Ejector Shoe Lump barrels with a rib extension for the crossbolt, Extended 1/4 rib with 1 standing and 3 folding sights, Double triggers with the front trigger hinged, Bolstered frame, Cocking indicators, Locking screws on key screws, A slight beavertail forend, Shadowline cheekpiece, Sling swivels, Steel trigger guard tang that extends to the engraved steel grip cap, 14 9/16" LOP over a 7/8" pad, 9 lbs. 12 oz., Very nice upgraded wood with very nice contrast, 90% coverage of very well done 88B hand-cut scroll engraving with an Elephant on the left lock and a Cape Buffalo on the right lock, The top lever is an entire Elephant frontal with his ears extended and including tusks, Engraved by German Master Engraver Mr. Michael Richter and signed. This is almost like buying it new but at a much more attractive price as a new order would be more costly. The original barrel blue is at 100%, The frame finish at 100%, The original stock finish at 98% with 4 dings in the wood, The checkering remains at 100%, The bores remain as new. In the field of current double rifles, the Heym is only one of two that our shop feels comfortable with to go the course with reliability and function over the long haul of serious shooting and African hunting. When you bring this gun to hand you can see a Cape Buffalo and smell the African bush. - SOLD
